i don't know if you remember my friend, the nurse, Sandy. well, she was diagnosed not even 2 yrs ago with stage 4 and she is in her last days. i talk to her every couple of days now for i'm afraid of the day i will call and she won't be there...but she can barely speak anymore...her every word is a struggle and her breathing...besides my father, i had never seen anyone fight 'it' so much and so hard. it has broken my heart to realize the day soon comes that she won't answer the phone.
cancer is cancer. no matter how and where, it is the same killer, praying on all our friends, families, strangers, enemies...my mom battled two types before she turned 33. i'm most grateful she won, but even after the 10-15 yr mark, we are still scared and yet she, we are the lucky ones. I can name many, many members of my family who have fallen to the disease from both sides, moms and dads...cancer seems to be so very prevalent in our blood. i'm sorry for your loss. i'm sorry your mom had it, suffer with it, pass away from it...sniff, :(
you have a good heart. as much as you think you are the not so emotional type, you have many and i'm glad that you share it with us. thank you again for doing this...i'll see what i can do at my end.
love, hugs my friend.
I'm sorry for your friend (I do remember reading about her) and all I can say is I hope the end will be sufferable for all involved (however awful it all is). I know you'll cherish whatever time is still available.
As for the pink, I kinda like it too, but I might not keep it after October ;-)
Thanks again, and chin up!
there are other quick fixes as well, but, you know. ;)
but yes. the money donated elsewhere definately stands a better chance of _really_ helping people than a whole lot of pink will.
