At least, though, now will know where any sudden increase in traffic to my blog will come from: sad, little Japanese men looking for virgins on Google. I'll be sure to report their IPs.

Re: How Does It End?

Hm...that sounded like you were really bored yes :-)

Never got any thing like your Tolstoy spam actually. But a load of the other but I never read them - maybe I'm not that bored ;-)

And Sharlet: I believe that Japanese spam is spreading to many blogs right now, I also got it.

The spam seems to go in "scopes", I've noticed. Hotels, poker-casinos, sex, they all come in bunches from the same addresses and very often in the nights.

Thank god I have a spam plugin, so they never reach my mailbox!

Re: How Does It End?

I just got a whole load of Japanese spam. Yes, all written in Japanese characters. I pasted a portion of it into AltaVista's Babelfish and essentially it translated something like "we have young Japanese child virgins; call us today".

:P

Probably came from the Japanese "cute products" blog I visited and commented on. :(

Evil masquerading as niceness and innocence. Now THAT is devious.

Re: How Does It End?

Tolstoy is not the author who naturally leaps to mind to sell viagra... You could make an amusing post on authors who could put you right off the purchase of a product - Joseph Conrad on Saga cruises, John Irving on life insurance policies, Edgar Allen Poe on burglar alarms and so on...
