Indeed, you do hear a lot of complaints about some of their products, notably the ones you mention. And, really, for what they cost, that shouldn't be the case.

The Sweex still works, it cost me six times less, and it looks good enough.

You know, I've recently come—wait, "been brought" would be more appropriate—to the conclusion that Apple products aren't always the best choice. After 2-3 years of normal use, my iPod has stopped working. I've taken it in to get it repaired a few times, but it hangs OS X or Windows when I hook it up to synch.

So, I needed a new MP3 player. I thought, Maybe I should try something different this time. I checked out CNET, etc. for reviews and ratings and stuff, and ended up buying a SanDisk player. It has yet to arrive, but I'm confident that it won't die on me in so short a time.

Another area in which Apple fails is mice/mouses. The Mighty Mouse scroll ball gets ruined so fast you can get it replaced TWICE within the warranty period. I did.

But then, their wireless routers and computers are awesome.

I've been thinking about that too. I suppose there's a lot of stuff that just works on older OS X versions but they don't mention. They have to sell people new stuff of course.

Interesting they say a MM requires 10.4.8. I've been using a wired MM on my work Mac which runs 10.3.9 for the last couple of months with no problems at all.

Sweex is an excellent budget brand and they make blue illuminating stuff, what else could we want?

It is a lot. Would've looked good, but it would also have been total overkill. The Sweex doesn't look like it's going to fall apart already so yeah, good deal ;) Thanks.

60 euros for a mouse is insanity. I've been using $10-$15 optical mice for years, and have never felt a great need to buy one 5-6 times as much.
