I've seen your stuff too of course. It's interesting how we all develop our own styles. And that's a good thing.

I'll be doing a post later this week maybe, covering a few changes that I think may await us. I see a lot of opportunity for mixing video, screencasting and Jing.

I hope to be doing some stuff here later next year as well, not just for work. I'm really enjoying the technique.

Re: Screencasting: Search for the Narrative

I was inspired by Beth's screencast as well. I am hardly as creative as you folk, but it will be very interesting to see how I end up using screencasting for material other than demonstrating something. In that sense, I have been using picture-in-picture recently and yes it is quite powerful

Re: Screencasting: Search for the Narrative

Hey beth, thanks for the visit and the comments.

Those two examples are truly great and precisely what I meant: the opportunities are there, if you want, to broaden the genre fundamentally.

Seriously these are amazing.

We're thinking of another project and the way you work in the first one is a good example of what lines I was thinking along too. Remarkable stuff, thanks for sharing.

Cheers.

Re: Screencasting: Search for the Narrative

You know, I never thought of it as storytelling - but you are so correct. I thought of it more of documentary style screencasting. My more formal screencasts with techsmith have attempted this:
http://analytics.wikispaces...

Here's another approach - not just the simple how-tos - but
documenting a lesson
http://beth.typepad.com/bet...
