My rank would have gone up and your blog would have become even more popular. I hope I can one day confidently say, that I'm a member of 9rules and got dugg, even to the queue, if not the front-page.

It's sad that the Brits have material that's important to the history of your country and won't give it up. The largest diamond in the world used to belong to my country before they took it for safe-keeping. At least they got something out of colon-isation.

Re: The 60M Euro Fridge

It's perhaps ironic, but some material might even be in the hands of the British. That would guarantee preservation to some extent, but in that case you should also get it back. Or at least a copy of it ;-)

If I ever have some time, :-P, I might check how my own country, Belgium, is doing. Ours is probably in a sad state, as well.

Thanks for the digg, hehe.

Re: The 60M Euro Fridge

I agree, it is peanuts. A country's heritage is far more important that money. In my country, India the government isn't doing too great a job of preserving our heritage. It's private organisations that carry out the task. And digitisation is not really a reality yet.
