What a wonderful post...it is nice to hear of your day to day things....I'm glad you went to see Ice Age 2, we went, the whole lot, and laughed our hearts out. We all loved it.
Sounds like your date was a success. I am so curious and forgive me for asking though...What is an appt over there? A date and appt are totally different for me. I understand appt to be related with work (work appts)...Date is mushy stuff...Enjoy your wknd and don't worry about taking it easy. It's part of enjoying life. So enjoy.

Well, I suppose it was neither then. I've encountered this problem in English before. In Dutch the word for 'appointment' (afspraak) can mean both a business as an informal meeting that you have agreed on. In its dimunitive (afspraakje) it tends to imply more of a 'romantic' get-together. Dutch now also has the English intruders 'meeting' for business meetings and 'date' for the romantic equivalent.

So what would you say if you had a date / meeting / appointment with a friend for cinema and drinks?

I was great fun though and that's what counts no? Thanks for asking.

Here! Here! I remember those days well. That was before Burnlounge let me talk about my favorite pastime (music) and get paid at the same time! Welcome to the darkside and remember what Robert Kiyosaki said about the "temptation" to head back to the rat race....
