Dotcomslashblog: The Dating Game Is Not A Game

  • Tom · 2 years ago
Quite right you are Nils. Well said. Somehow it has to be the right way though since our species endures :).

If there's blood coming from your extremities, I think you're doing it wrong.
  • Nils Geylen · 2 years ago
@Tom Hey, good to see you around again. As for the species, I think it just shows how dumb we are.

@nostrich Right, funny. You think I should lose the ninja throwing stars then?
  • Adem · 2 years ago
Dating? hmmmphhh. I used to think I knew where I stood, and things worked out pretty well, but I really have been out of the loop for quite a while now and know how you feel. Curse texts, emails, etc, which can be mind-boggling.

Good luck with future encounters though ;)

p.s. I was going to do the "actual encounters that suck the blood from your extremities" joke but nostrich beat me to it!

But if it isn't a game, how can you tell if you're winning?
  • Cuppojoe · 2 years ago
Up until about a week and a half ago, I would have agreed with you whole-heartedly, my friend. Alas, fate has taken a very different turn than any I've previously experienced, and I find myself on the other side of the fence from you.

Did I mention the view is awesome from over here?
  • Nils Geylen · 2 years ago
@Joe1: I think they tell you that after you wake up in the hospital.

@Joe3: I figured as much from your mystery Facebook statuses. That and the fact I haven't seen you on IM or Twitter in ages. Good on you buddy. Dish me the dirt soon will ya?

Oh, and @Adem: I hadn't even thought about emails. Sheesh. And what about Twitter, Facebook? The possibilities for massive failure are everywhere :)

True. Every last word of it. Even though I am in a relationship now that I think is real and long lasting, I still have the moments of poisonous firey pits of death.
  • Nils Geylen · 2 years ago
@peroty: Fiery pits of death. Yes, exactly! But true: it never ends, even if the relationship does. Scary business.
