Who said that tram trips can't be adventurous...? *lol*

The whole post sounded like a chapter from a thriller, just add some more drugs and that you were followed.

Read loud with a whispering scary voice of course ;-)

    Have a wonderful weekend!!!

that was an overwhelming outing...first thing is that i'm glad he backed down and with his actions offered some type of an apology. second, i'm glad that you stood up for yourself. it's a hard thing to do sometimes. third, how nice of you to do the favor..you are such a sweetie..

your tram is awesome looking...i would love for us to have something like that here...

and i don't worry about getting around on it..when Joe and I make it there, we will have you as our super tourists guide...did you want us to bring all 6 kids too? :)

hugs my friend. glad you are well.

Mrs. L: Yes, I felt like I was in some thriller movie after that. I walked around 007-like all day and people gave me funny looks.

Chana: Always happy to see you commenting. I try to keep up with yours, but haven't managed yet. Yes, the trams are cool now and they even run on time more or less. You can bring as many kids as you like (Belgium has no quota for that, I think) but I don't see me putting you all up. Better book a small palazzo well in time then.

    Good story, Napfisk, as always...

A point of clarity for Chana, though: We do, indeed have public transportation like this! Granted, ours don't run underground, except for the 3 tunnels (one which runs underneath a cemetary!), but it's still a pretty impressive set-up.

On ours, we also have to purchase the tickets from a box prior to boarding. Or, we have the options of a monthly pass or using the aforementioned machine to validate a pre-purchased ticket.

There are 3 lines, all starting at the downtown core and running South, Northwest, and Northeast. The stations are very nicely designed, the trains are quiet and spacious, and the doors only open at the stops if someone specifically wants on or off.

We live in a city with a land area equivalent to New York, but the train can still get you from one to the other in about 40 minutes, all stops included! That's not bad!

Now, with all my griping about the Calgary Transit system, it's too bad none of these trains are part of my commute each day!

Thx, I had assumed that Canada's leading economic metropolis would have some sort of cool transit system. The picture looks better than it does in reality and we only have a 'pre-metro' system, meaning the regular street trams go underground when they reach the city centre. Some lines have older models running still and stay above ground right into the old town.

Dude, he told you not to tell anyone. Now we all know. You probably just got yourself a lifetime ban from the tram service.

Good point there, Vegard, but then again he won't know it's me until someone else tells him that. Boy, this is getting tricky. Thanks for commenting.
