It's quite pricey so only worth the investment if you really want to get into professional screencasting. We're currently on version 4, but 5 was released a few months ago.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For the n00b I would recommend either Wink for PC or Screencast-o-matic for Mac. Not that I've tried either, but they're well-known.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Of course, there's always the Jing Project (also by Techsmith) which is very limited and only works online (not an app - so you'll need a good connection) but which is very easy to use.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That's about it.
